On a brisk October day we decided to bring Nico to a pumpkin patch. Our mission was to find the perfect pumpkin. We saw tiny ones, ginormous ones, orange ones, green ones, bumpy ones, stemless ones, pumpkins everywhere! Nico got a kick out of walking among these orange balls growing all over the ground. He tried to step on one & he fell & smashed it. I guess that one was a little ripe.
A couple of pumpkins did catch his eye. One had a hilarious face carved into it & another he could actually hold with one hand.
But alas, we did not find the right one to bring home. So, we decided to try our luck at the grocery store. And there Eureka!
We found it! The perfect sized pumpkin that already had a carved face... all we had to do was buy some batteries & it would be all set. Um yeah, we are not a pumpkin carving kinda family (yet). Easy & clean all the way! Nico likes holding our store-bought plastic Jack-o-lantern up towards the ceiling and laughing back at it's lighted happy face. An added bonus is that it lasts long past Halloween!
